to Caden Ramon Asplund and Emily Taylor Asplund

What has happened to you both is tragic, and there is no apology to be made for it.  You have had stripped from you the love of your father, and you have been denied the love you feel for me in turn.  I loved you before you were born, I carried you in my dreams and in my heart as your mother carried you in her womb.  I waited anxiously to meet you; I was overcome with joy when I finally did and found that you were familiar to me.
You (as we all do) existed before you were born here, and our bond is stronger than the experiences of this world.
I was blessed with 7 and 5 years, respectively, to raise each of you, giving you what love and guidance I knew to give, sharing what I had learned here so far.  I know now that my love is enough, and I am very happy for my time with you.  We are enough, and we are each perfect and complete souls.  So our family was cut short by a system that cares nothing for family, and despite what you might think, your mother has been the greatest victim of all.  I am truly sad for her, and I don't hold her actions against her.
She did her best, as did I.
I've learned so much from the pain I've endured, the horrible shame of being forcibly absent as you needed me, and I am a stronger man than ever would have been possible otherwise.  So much has been taught to me through this ordeal, and I patiently await our future time together, when I will share with you what I have come to understand.  I will again be a guide for you in person, some day of your own choosing, when you are finally able to make those decisions.
Until then, I remain your guide spiritually, and I will continue to send you strength, love, and affection through meditation, as it is the only means I am permitted at this time.

I love you, Caden and Emily, and you are ALWAYS able to receive this love.  My love for you is UNCONDITIONAL, and is never diminished.  The source of this love is abundant and eternal.  I will always be available to you and I will always welcome you with open arms.  I will always be your FATHER, no matter what a court says, and no matter what decisions you make now or for the rest of your lives.  I have never ceased loving you, and will continue until my last breath to do so with this body and mind.  I will continue to be an example of peace and love, and I await the opportunity to guide you as an example of power and joy.  I will always maintain a public profile that is easy for you to find, and I longingly await contact from you when you are ready.
You are my children, my teachers, my beloved.

Namaste,
daddy
